Livermore, CA (May 2, 2016)—FINIS, Inc., a worldwide leader in technical swimming development, is proud to announce its official sponsorship of German butterfly sprinter, Jonas Bergmann.

Last year the 20-year-old butterfly ace broke onto the German swim scene with standout performances at the National Swimming Championships in Berlin. The sprint specialist claimed the national title in his preferred event, the 50m Butterfly, with a time of 23:99.

Bergmann grew up in the historic city of Osnabrück, in the northwest region of Germany, and learned to swim at the age of 6 at his local pool. Bergmann still resides in Osnabrück, where he is developing his career under the guidance of coach Janina Braun at SG-Osnabrück.

In just under a month, the first phase of the German Olympic swimming trials will get underway.  Bergmann will be competing in both the 50m and 100m Butterfly, where he hopes to continue his rise to the top of the sprint swimming podium in Germany.
