The world’s best swimmers utilize a full body motion in all four strokes. More importantly, strong swimmers maximize the power of the chest and core when initiating a full body motion in both Butterfly and Breaststroke. Wearing a snorkel, lightly push off the wall with both hands extended out above the head, making a “Y” shape. Both the Swimmer’s Snorkel and the Glide Snorkel will allow for a focus on body alignment. Keeping the head in a neutral, relaxed position is critical for many of the best body position drills. Complete 8-10 lengths in this position, switching between dolphin and Breaststroke kick. Be sure the focus remains on pressing the chest down and the hips up during each undulation.
