The shared mission to simplify swimming for beginners, both young and old, through high quality products and a commitment to education, helped bring the two distinguished companies together.

As leaders in their respective markets, FINIS and Smart Moves Swim plan to advance the sport of swimming through building more educational resources for the learn-to-swim market.

FINIS is one of the largest providers to swim schools not only in the United States, but also to the whole world. When John Mix and Pablo Morales first started FINIS in 1993, they were completely dedicated to the competitive swim space. However, when both John and Pablo were introducing their young children to the water, they quickly became frustrated by the lack of kids goggles that provided an adequate fit, John and Pablo decided to develop a line of goggles specifically designed for young children. FINIS now offers an entire collection of learn-to-swim products including swim diapers, an array of goggles and other tools that help children feel more comfortable in the water.

Smart Moves Swim was founded on the principles of creating a better learning experience for swimmers by creating a stronger educational background for the instructors. With a virtual online library containing over 250 individual swim skills, activities, games and songs, there is never a shortage of lesson plans for an instructor. In the system, an instructor can pick and choose from pre-designed lesson plans or they can create their own and track the progress.
