Introducing the New Fishtail 2 fins

FINIS

FINIS, Inc., a worldwide leader in technical swimming innovation, is proud to announce the launch of the Fishtail 2 learn-to-swim fins. The Fishtail 2 fins are a new design of the original Fishtail fins that were introduced to the market ten years ago.

“When meeting and discussing the original Fishtail fins with swim school owners and instructors, we learned that we needed to develop a product that fit smoothly within their daily operations,” said Lead Industrial Designer David Beittel when discussing the origins of the product.

In an effort to simplify the design, provide better performance, and create a more durable product, FINIS went back to the drawing board to design these learn-to-swim fins. Many of the improvements of the Fishtail 2 fins were derived specifically from feedback and input from swim school owners and instructors.

Designed to use as soon as a child is able to walk, the Fishtail 2 fins feature an improved footpocket system with adjustable straps that allow children to use the same fins as they grow. A redesigned toe opening on the bottom of the fin provides increased comfort and stability. A slightly stiffer and asymmetrical blade also rewards even the smallest movements in the water, regardless of technique.

“I love that we’ve developed a fin that swim instructors use even single day. The improvements to the Fishtail 2 fins are simple, but very intentional – the new features provide a safer, more productive and more efficient swim lesson,” says FINIS CEO and cofounder John Mix. “ The Fishtail 2 fins adapt to the young toddlers’ movements in the water, providing forward propulsion even without correct technique. This helps the youngest of swimmers gain confidence in the water at the earliest age – which is what we’re all about.”

The Fishtail 2 fins are now available, and you can learn more by visiting www.FINISinc.com/fishtail-2 or contacting your local swim retailer.
