Olivia Smoliga has been a United States Swimming superstar since high school. The Illinois native was the first female high schooler to ever crack the 22-second mark in the 50-yard freestyle.

Smoliga went on to become the American Record Holder in that event during a stellar collegiate career under Jack Bauerle at the University of Georgia. She was a three-time NCAA Champion, 16-time SEC Champion and in her senior year was named SEC Athlete of the Year.

Smoliga qualified for the 2016 Olympic Games in the 100-meter backstroke and brought home a gold medal as a member of the 4x100m medley relay.

The 2017 FINA World Championship was Smoliga’s best individual performance at the international level yet –she finished in 4th with one of the top 10 times in history. Olivia loves to cook in her spare time.

In 2021, Olivia won a bronze medal swimming in the Women’s 4x100m Freestyle Relay at the Tokyo Olympics.
