WOWSA

September 19, 2019

Whether you’re a beginner or a Catalina Channel swimmer, one of the great joys in life is swimming in the ocean. And some of the best ocean swimming in the world is in Redondo Beach.

This is why the Mayor of Redondo Beach asked WOWSA to put on Ocean Fest: to showcase Redondo Beach as the proposed open water course for the LA 2028 Olympic Games and celebrate all things ocean related.

There will be Olympian speakers like Jordan Wilamovsky & Haley Anderson, a beer garden by Golden Road Brewing, food trucks, vendors, a Hawaiian Luau awards dinner and Guinness World Record Ceremony.

Saturday will have ocean workshops for all levels and Sunday offers a 10k, 5k, 1k race plus 100m & 200m fun swims. There will even be a Guinness World Record Attempt for the longest consecutive swim in an Endless Pool. We hope you can join us and bring the whole family for a fun weekend.
